Ingredients
- 3 Potatoes - Washed, Peeled and Cubed into tiny cubes
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds (Til or Nuvvulu)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
For Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- a few curry leaves
Method
- In a pan, heat the oil.
- Add the mustard seeds. Once the splutter, add the urad dal and saute until light brown. Then add the hing and curry leaves.
- Add the cubes of potato. Mix well until the seasoning and oil is well coated.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp of water on the potato mixture, cover with a lid and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on a low flame.
- Open the lid and gently stir until all the potato is well roasted. This usually takes about 10 minutes on a medium to low flame.
- Toss in the sesame seeds and mix well.
- Serve hot with rice, dal and ghee!
